MOVEMENT AND AGING
Movement is one of the best anti-aging tools around. The key is to move well and to be consistent (and persistent). Here are some facts:
Aging and inactivity result in:
Loss of strength;
Osteopenia and osteoporosis (loss of bone density);
As a result of the above:
We become weak, making falls more likely;
Loss of bone density leads to bone fractures.
Falls lead to disability, a loss of independence and reduced quality of life.
A well-designed fitness program will:
Increase muscle and strength;
Increase bone density.
Keep you strong, agile and independent!
One-on-one and small group personal training packages are available.
